The Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) is a 6-month leadership development program designed to equip aspiring leaders with the essential leadership attributes needed to excel both in their organization and in the community. This program focuses on a number of keep leadership attributes, including emotional intelligence, communication skills, conflict management, team dynamics, and other key leadership competencies.
By the end of the 6-month program, participants will have:
Developed a deeper understanding of their emotional intelligence and how it impacts themselves and others
Connected with cross-sector aspiring leaders from the Greater Dalton community
Determined how they want to continue growing their leadership skills and abilities by serving the Greater Dalton community.
The Emerging Leaders Institute provides an immersive, hands-on experience that equips participants with the confidence, skills, and mindset required to provide authentic leadership in their organization and community.
Applications are accepted between May and June. The Chamber will select a maximum of 25 leaders and announce the incoming class roster in July.
Please note: Individuals must live and/or work in Greater Dalton as of the time they submit their application.
Participants must meet attendance requirements in order to graduate; therefore, candidates are encouraged to apply only if their calendar accommodates the entirety of the class schedule.
